Homemade Pizza Dough




makes 1 large or 2 medium pizzas

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet rapid rise yeast
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups all purpose flour


Empty yeast into the bottom of a mixing bowl. Pour warm water over yeast and gently stir until dissolved. Add olive oil and salt to the mixing bowl. With the dough hook attached, slowly mix in the flour. Keep mixing until dough forms around hook. Remove dough from the mixing bowl and set in a new bowl to rise. Cover with a warm damp rag or Saran wrap and let rise for at least 1 hour.Once risen, roll out dough, brush crust with olive oil, and top with desired ingredients. Bake at 475 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until crust is golden.
